Large window areas are significant design attributes of the new generation of cars. Good all-round visibility and an optical increase in space are desirable effects on the one hand, but on the other hand the glass surfaces offer extremely large surfaces for aggressive solar radiation.

The Sonniboy sun, privacy and insect screen is an ideal addition to vehicles with air conditioning and an indispensable solution for cars without, providing effective protection against the heat.




Vehicle-specific sun protection

Conventional side window protection measures usually only partially cover the window areas. The patented Sonniboy system, on the other hand, is customised to the inside dimensions of the window and attached using a specially developed, stable and unobtrusive mounting system. This means, for example, that the window guide on retractable door panes is not impaired in its function and can be operated completely independently of the Sonniboy protection system, which is therefore always stable and anchored unchanged in its position and provides protection. The view to the outside remains unobstructed, while the special surface structure of the fabric restricts prying eyes to the inside.

Even when the side windows are fully retracted, the sun's rays and insects have virtually no chance of penetrating the passenger compartment. The use of our sun protection has been tested with the door windows partially open at speeds of up to 130 km/h.

The spring steel wire frame with flame-retardant polyester covering is inserted into discreet retaining clips and thus clamps itself in place. This also makes it possible to open the door windows while driving.
